Colposcopy Effects Side
There are no colposcopy effects side, as it is not treatment, but a diagnostic tool for detecting dysplasia, wart and other cervical disorders.
The only real risks involved, but only happen in less then 5% of cases, is infection or constant to severe bleeding. It has become a routine procedure that is done right in a doctor’s office with no anesthetic required. With a procedure like this there are very few risks involved.

It’s normal for some spotting to take place within the first 48 hours following the biopsies, but if the bleeding doesn’t stop or intensifies or there becomes a smelly and thick discharge after 48 hours, then one should contact the doctor as this could be signs of a problem.
