All dysplasia levels are HPV related, and consist of mild, moderate, and severe, or CIN I, II, and III or LSGIL and HGSIL. The first, most mild reading is an ASCUS (atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance) reading, which is commonly associated with HPV, but is not in all cases.
