Colposcopy Test
With a colposcopy test it is possible to prevent infertility\ and other disorders, if a leep procedure or other treatment is applied in a good time.
The sample is then sent to a lab for further assessment. It’s where a special microscope is used to view the dysplastic areas on the cervix so biopsies can be taken right from those areas. This is a frequently used exam after an abnormal Pap smear, with cervical dysplasia present.

On average the whole thing takes about 20-30 minutes and the patient needs only to refrain from doing certain things, like using tampons, douching, or having intercourse, for 48 hours. It is done with no required anesthetic, right in the doctor’s office. The exam has few risks involved.
