Cervical Dysplasia, Cone Biopsy

Pap smears often can detect this disease early, however, if during examination a “small growth” is found, removal is necessary. Rough papular emergences that are red, brown, or flesh colored can be considered to be carcinoma in situ. Growths on the cervix are not uncommon for this condition. Condyloma accumulata and severe cases of cervical dysplasia are successfully treated with cone biopsy.
