Genital Herpes Cold Sore
The genital herpes cold sore may be examined with a colposcopy for diagnosis as is the genital wart symptoms.
HSV lesions are very definitive and contagious. This can be misleading because direct oral to genital organ contact can transmit either to the opposite sites. Simplex 1(HSV1) commonly infects the mouth (fever blister) and Simplex 2 (HSV2) generally infects the reproductive tract.

Any area of broken skin or mucosa, including locations such as the eyes, mouth, esophagus, anus and vagina can be infected from these blisters. Outbreaks generally last a few days, often during a stressed immune system. The blisters rupture and scabs develop signaling outbreak completion.
