Picture Herpes Genital Wart
With a picture, herpes, genital wart viruses causing cervical dysplasia or ASCUS can be easily differentiated between.
Serology or cytology examination can reveal these characteristic anomalies early. Note that an indicator predicting cervical malignancies is the presence of both HSV and HPV. Thus, management of health, early detection, treatment, and behavioral risk reduction is key to minimizing viral spread.

At first inspection HSV and HPV may initially have similarities, but cellular changes, either bacterial or viral, are characteristic allowing for their specific identification. Disease progression can reveal painful lesions or blisters in the case of HSV while painful lesions become polyps with HPV although both affect the sex organs.
