Dating Genital Wart
The problem of dating genital wart is rather acute; with a pap smear test it is easy to determine the presence of HPV, which causes the development of a vaginal wart.
Avoiding sexual contact with someone with visible lesions may reduce the risk, as well as practicing safe sex. There is no cure for the virus and there is no definite way to prevent transmission. HPV is the most prevalent STD in the United States.

Women with HPV must be followed closely with Pap smear tests. People with HPV must understand that there is no cure and that the lesions can regress then appear again. The use of condoms does not reduce the risk of infection of HPV or most other STDs.
