Genital Wart Diagnosis
After a genital wart diagnosis the doctor prescribes the optimal method of treatment; a cone biopsy and other serious operations are not suited for a genital wart.
HPV cannot be cultured and serologic tests are not available to for testing of HPV antibodies. The physician may detect subclinical infections by applying a weak vinegar solution to the area, making the lesions visible. An exam by a physician will determine the prescence of HPV.
