Anal Genital Worts
Anal genital worts can be detected with a colposcopy and can cause an ASCUS reading with a pap test.
The virus is considered to be active when there are warts. But as the warts are gone, the virus is latent (sleeping) in the skin cells - it may or may not be contagious at this time. Thus the disease may or may not return after the first episode.
