Woman Genital Wart
In a woman genital wart conditions generally can be detected by positive pap smears indicating vaginal dysplasia related to condyloma and other hpv impairment.
Removal of the condyloma lesion is recommended because this is a sign of large amounts of the virus is present and highly contagious at this time. Removal is thought to reduce the virus load, and lessen transmission and possibly stimulate the immune system.

All sexually active women are strongly advised to have annual pap smears and a gynecological exam from the age 15 to 40 to detect the presence of HPV. If HPV is detected the pap smears should be two to three times per year because of the link to cervical cancer.
