Planter'S Wart
Planter's wart and cervical cancer are caused by different strains of HPV, cone biopsy is effective only with genital warts, not with plantar warts.
Malignant change is rare but has been reported and is termed verrucous carcinoma. Extensive involvement on the sole of the foot may impair ambulation. This type of the disease causes pain, because it grows deep into the plantar surface.

It begins as small shiny papules and progress to deep round lesions, surrounded by a smooth collar of thickened horn. When it occurs on the hand, it tends to be subungual or periungual. This problem is found on weight-bearing areas of feet. Planter's wart and cervical cancer are caused by different strains of HPV, cone biopsy is effective only with genital warts, not with plantar warts.
