Cause Plantar Wart
Viruses cause plantar wart growths and cervix growths, but different HPV strains.
Untreated, these growths can reach half an inch or so in diameter or spread to several growths in close proximity. They can be painful if they occur on the ball or heel of the foot, where the body weight bears down on a regular basis.

This type of HPV is highly contagious therefore is easily passed form individual to individual by public pools or bathing facilities where people are likely to be barefoot. The virus thrives in moist, warm environments. Wearing sandals or shoes is the best prevention. Viruses cause plantar wart growths and cervix growths, but different HPV strains.
