The only known cause correlated to condylomata acuminata is Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infections. In a weakened immune phase impacted by either genetic makeup or physiological stressers, e.g. smoking, depression, HIV infections or others, HPV impairs production of antibodies to fight its invasion and abnormal growth.
