Human Warts
Human warts are caused by a virus and appear anywhere and are generally benign as with a facial wart or plantar wart.
Condyloma acuminatum usually occurrs on the mucous membrane or skin of the external genitals or in the perianal region; although the lesions are usually few in number, they may aggregate to form large cauliflower-like masses. Caused by HPV, it is infectious, and often asymptomatic.

A lobulated hyperplastic epidermal lesion with a horny surface caused by HPV, transmitted by skin-to-skin contact or autoinoculation, and usually occurring on the dorsa of the fingers and hands, on the face, or on the soles.
